Cadet Forces Medal
The Cadet Forces Medal is awarded to recognise long and efficient service by Commissioned Officers and non commissioned adult instructors of the UK Cadet Forces: The Army Cadet Force, the Air Training Corps, the Sea Cadet Corps and Combined Cadet Force.
The qualifying period for the medal is 12 years, with clasps awarded for further 8 years and from 1st April 1999, 6 years service. Up to 3 additional awards are decorated with bars, 4+ awards were decorated by a gilt rosette. If you are looking for the miniature of this medal, click here.
Cadet Forces Long Service Medal Eligibility:
Awarded to Commissioned Officers and non commissioned adult instructors of the UK Cadet Forces: The Army Cadet Force, the Air Training Corps, the Sea Cadet Corps and Combined Cadet Force, and Commissioned Officers of the New Zealand Cadet Forces. It is awarded for 12 years service. Additional clasps are issued for every 6 years additional service in the UK.
