Customise Your Order

Full size court mounitng costs £10.00 per medal. Please be aware that you need to order this service for the total number of medals that you have. It is not possible to add medals to medals that are already mounted. Tell us the name of you first medal in the box below and click 'Add Another' until you have added tall of the medals that need mounting.

In your confirmation email once your have placed your order, we will include details of how and where to send you medals to us

We have the following three stores branded 'Madry' and you are welcome to drop your medals off with us. Please check store opening times on our website.

Optional Extras

Medal Holder allows you to attach your medals to the holder and slip into a jacket pocket so you no longer need to push the pin through your jackets / blazers. Please note that your medals must be group mounted on a pin/brooch in order to use the medal holder. (click the image to add)

Sending medals for mounting?

It could not be easier to have your medals mounted by Empire. Select the number of medals and any additional service above, add to your basket and complete your order. We will then send you an email with your order confirmation number along with our address and full instructions about how and where to send your medals. Once your medals have arrived, we will email to let you know and then again to let you know when they have been sent back.

The Cost:

Court Mounting is charged at £10 PER MEDAL. You can also select the Staybrite service for which we add an invisible coating to your medals to keep them shinning for longer.

Full Size medal mounting service 'Court' Style. Medals that you purchase or send to us will be mounted on a stiff backing and stitched down to prevent them rubbing together.

Court Mounting originates from the reign of Queen Victoria. Serving members of Her Majesty's Armed Forces in her attendance (in 'Court') were requested to ensure medals were sewn onto a backing board to prevent them from moving around and making a noise.

Court Mounting has been widely adopted by todays Award Forces. Whilst a more expensive form of mounting medals ready-to-wear, Court Mounting provides a more secure and longer lasting finish protecting medals from rubbing or bashing against each other.

Our team of skilled seamstresses use a variety of hand sewing techniques to professionally mount your medals. Our service includes the replacement of ribbon and the cleaning of your medals.

Cleaning military medals can be rather messy, particularly when they have become tarnished over time. We assess every medal based on the material and state and use the most appropriate method to clean your medal. We have a sophisticated metal dipping process in addition to our Ultra Sonic washing machine - that said, something good old fashioned elbow grease is all we need! All of this included in our medal mounting cost.

The service that you are ordering on this page is just that, a mounting service. This cost is for mounting only, the medals need to either be sent to us or purchased from us. Please ensure when ordering that you select the TOTAL number of medals being mounted. We cannot add medals to existing mounts.

If you are sending medals to us to be mounted, we recommend using no less than the Royal Mail Special Delivery Service (or an equivalent insured, tracked service if sending from outside the UK) to the address below. When you check out you will be offered a choice of standard delivery or registered delivery. We recommend you select a recorded service. Standard post is tracked but not as secure.
