Atlantic Star Miniature
The Atlantic Star is a campaign medal for British & Commonwealth forces during the Second World War. Awarded for six months service afloat between 3rd September 1939 and 8th May 1945 in the Atlantic, home waters and to those employed in convoys to North Russia, and, in the South Atlantic west of longitude 20 degrees East. Those who subsequently qualified for either the France and Germany Star or Air Crew Europe Star were awarded the appropriate clasp to the Atlantic star. Only one clasp may be worn and these are distinguished by a silver rosette worn on the ribbon when ribbon alone are worn.
