The King Charles III Cadet Forces Miniature Medal is awarded after a 12-year qualifying period, with the possibility of clasps for an additional 8 years of service. As of 1st April 1999, 6 years of service will also be recognised with a clasp. Extraordinary service may be recognised with up to 3 additional awards, marked with bars, while 4 or more awards are distinguished with a gilt rosette.
